Arboreta is leading the implementation of the technical assistance and training (TAT) program for California Rape Prevention Education programs in partnership with CALCASA’s RPE team. All TAT activities are based on project goals defined by the funder and feedback from the 33 RPE programs that use a variety of strategies based on their primary audience and community. Training is provided in small cohorts and/or topic- based institutes that promote peer-learning and community-building among the programs. Technical assistance is provided through individual and group check-ins with the goal of strengthening an agency’s ability to implement sexual violence prevention programs that are community-based and use public health best practices. The overall focus of the TAT program is to support the RPE programs in implementing comprehensive programs that effect change across the ecological model with specific focus on community level change.
