The Jacarandas are Blooming Again!
I’m a creature of habit. My morning walks are a habit. When I have a certain rhythm and regularity to my daily routine, I’m a happy camper. On the other hand, I also like to mix in some surprises, if I didn’t I wouldn’t work in the nonprofit sector where something interesting lies behind every corner. As in nature, it’s all about balance.
Which brings me back to springtime and the very first blog I wrote as a member of Arboreta Group which became the basis of the “Our Story” section of our website. It was about our beloved jacaranda trees, they’re in bloom again!
I’ve re-read that piece many times and the truth of it still stands…
“Trees, like us, are interconnected yet wonderfully individual. Diversity and variety abound. Organizations of different sizes have a wide variety of purposes, and all contribute to a healthy society. It became clear to me that I wanted to be part of maintaining that diversity by supporting nonprofits in an even bigger way than I could as a sole proprietor. At the end of that morning walk I felt energized and at peace.”
A year has passed and that vision has come true. Arboreta Group, LLC was born. In January 2015 we put out our shingle and within the first four months we got four new clients! We’re excited to have them. Little do they know we have a small internal celebration for each new client that comes aboard. Our new clients have consistently told us that our new business have proposals fit their needs accurately; “you really listened to us” is a common response. That makes us very happy.

This year has been filled with change, growth, more change and more growth. Like the jacaranda trees that populate my neighborhood, I still recognize them yet they look a little different.
Our membership has changed; our primary team is smaller and we have a growing list of affiliates that broaden our range of services to our clients. As a certified minority and women-owned small business, we’ve expanded into providing services for government. With all this exciting growth, we’ve maintained our commitment to a very high level of service. Our purpose remains clear. Arboreta Group was formed to help cultivate the growth and wellbeing of nonprofit organizations (and now government) and by extension the people and causes they serve.
Our purpose is to help you achieve your purpose.
